Treasure Valley Commonwealth (TVC) is not a school, and we’re more than just a homeschool co-op. We’re a nonprofit organization that serves as an umbrella for a wide variety of learning opportunities, community groups, and events.
Some of our offerings are regularly occurring (like classes or community groups), while others are one-time events (such as dances, STEM days, or workshops). We aim to support multiple co-ops and learning communities, providing space, resources, and collaboration opportunities for families who value alternative education and strong moral development.
In short, TVC is a flexible, family-centered hub where education, community, and enrichment come together.
Collaborative learning is an approach where families come together to share knowledge, resources, and experiences—learning with and from each other. It’s rooted in mutual support, shared responsibility, and a belief that education thrives in community.
At TVC, this means creating an environment where parents, children, and mentors contribute their time and talents to help everyone grow. Whether through group classes, skill-sharing, or creative projects, we cultivate a culture of connection, curiosity, and character.
No, TVC is not affiliated with any specific religion or political organization. We are a values-driven community that emphasizes strong moral character, personal responsibility, and respect for others. While we welcome families of all backgrounds, our programs are designed to foster thoughtful, principled citizens through cooperative learning, civil dialogue, and community engagement. Our focus is on cultivating integrity, curiosity, and contribution—not ideology.
Yes, absolutely — we welcome and deeply appreciate both donors and sponsors!
Donors are individuals or families who give financially to support the mission of TVC. Donations may be one-time gifts or recurring contributions, and they help fund scholarships, programs, and general operations. Donors typically give out of personal conviction and generosity, often without public recognition unless requested.
Sponsors, on the other hand, are often businesses, organizations, or individuals who contribute to specific events, programs, or initiatives in exchange for recognition and visibility. Sponsorship may include logo placement, mentions in promotional materials, or opportunities to connect with the families and groups we serve.
Both donors and sponsors play an essential role in building a thriving community, and we’d love to explore the best way for you to get involved.

In the United States, the word Commonwealth simply means a community of people working together for the common good. It’s about neighbors helping neighbors and building something stronger by sharing resources, ideas, and support.
That’s exactly why we chose the name Treasure Valley Commonwealth—because our heart is to be a place where families and friends come together, learn from one another, and create opportunities that benefit everyone in our community.
